Training Camps

LOOK FOR THE 15th EDITION IN EARLY MAY 2010

Elitewave Camps (aka Dan’s Camp) have provided more than 1000 athletes with rewarding camp experiences since 1994.  This year will mark the 15 year anniversary of the camp program.

Elitewave Sports Corproation, under Dan’s guidance, fully developed the concept of training camps for cyclists and triathletes in Penticton.

To this day, Dan continues to offer the original and authentic training camp experience in Penticton.  Every year, 30-40 athletes enjoy a week of coaching, camaraderie and awesome training in the heart of Okanagan wine country.

We hope you will join us for this year’s camp!

Comments on Dan’s Camp

Hi Dan and everyone!  If you could forward this to everyone I would appreciate it.  Thanks to everyone for being so supportive, friendly and understanding to myself, a bit in over my head ability wise. I learned so much from all of you.  I feel more confident and a lot safer on the road thanks to all of you.  Hope to see you in Aug, take care.

[We] are happy campers and would love to come back again next year. We both learned a lot, had fun and gained some confidence for Ironman. We appreciated all the support, the other campers, the well planned rides to great locations and the skills clinics. It was all so well done. Now we have lots to work on. Thanks a million.

Hi Dan. Just wanted to thank you for the great week.  i’m exhausted but happy.  it was a great time.

Dan, this year was unbelievable. It was everything I had thought the ‘training camps’ could be. I know it must be an enormous effort to accommodate for such a wide variation in abilities and personalities. Everyone I talked to, be they C, B or A had an amazing time, that is a great accomplishment.

Some key aspects of the camp that really stood out.

- Great truck support. It made us feel like real pros out there.

- Fit and motivated ride guides. To me this is very important and I appreciate it very much.

- Good timing of the social events.

- Great clinic at Mclean Creek on the recovery day.

- Great diversity in rides. For example the Giants Head ride, Apex resort, Rock Creek, Naramata brick workout, they were all great and all in different directions, awesome.

Thanks for a good time, I’ll be back next year.

Hi Dan, I hope you made it back safely to Victoria, it was tempting to follow you home after hearing about the rain in Calgary. Thank you again for putting on such a great training camp, even though I could only make it to the last few days, I was very impressed with how organized it was.  I will definitely be there for the whole thing next year.

Well thanks, I had an amazing time at the camp! It was a blast and I met a lot of great people.

Thanks so much, I had a blast! You run a great show, you’re a very talented coach.  That was one of the best holidays I’ve had in a while. Please send my hello and thanks to the ride guides.  I really enjoyed their company.

Thanks for putting on another great camp.  I don’t know how you do it, but they keep getting better every year.  The quality and level of coaching and support was really appreciated by myself and everyone I talked to.  Some of the first-timers I talked were especially amazed that someone could put together a camp as well as you do.  Thanks again and I hope you have a fun summer.

Kudos to you for a great camp Dan.

It was the perfect blend of toughness, fun and sensibility. Some good laughs and good company makes 800km and LOTS of climbing pass by very painlessly. The camp got my miles up and did what I wanted it to do, which was get me back on track with my riding this season. Sign me up for 06′

Many thanks to you Dan!  I had an amazing time, and learned so much in a week.  I don’t think I have stopped talking to my friends about what an awesome week we had, and the great desire and appreciation I have now for climbing.  Now they are all wanting to sign up for next year!

Only problem now is, I want to quit my job and train full - time!  Thanks again, and it was great to meet you!!
